A Discovery
Saturday, JL made a discovery....
Everyone was checking it out and super delighted!
It was ...... our first Bluebonnet blossom!
This is a big deal. Not only is it our namesake showing up, but it represents hope that the drought hasn't destroyed our wildflower crop! We're still a little concerned because February is typically the coldest month out here, but maybe these little guys will survive and come March/April - we'll have a sea of blue!
Here's June Bug. She was feeling a bit under the weather on Saturday. Turns out - she had just had too much sweet, tender grass. We let her out the day before to graze the property. She apparently ate baby grass until her belly hurt!

Yeah for the Bluebells--glad they survived the drought. Can't wait to see tons of them in the coming months. (Hope June Bug's belly ache didn't last long!)
